Photography has always been a passion of mine. I am especially compelled to explore nature with my camera. Many of my images are focused around the textures, spaces and movement present in these landscapes but I also contemplate humanity’s interference and encroachment into these places. Creating and photographing constructed images, however, is also a pursuit I enjoy tackling with a camera. A scene or arrangement must be imagined and built-up because there is no inherent beauty or interest within a blank space. I have used Illustration as a medium for creative expression since my early childhood. While I have mostly traded in my crayons for digital drawing tools, my illustrations still reflect a youthfulness that connects me to my fundamental creative roots.

I also enjoy exploring other creative pursuits such as animation, scanning, collage, printmaking and ceramics. Working with diverse mediums is an essential component of my personal creative process.
